Dior Fall Collection 2009 Makeup Lesson

Francisco to get a makeup lesson with Dior National Makeup Artist Karen Hummel. She shared lots of insider tips and techniques that I’ve been incorporating into my makeup routine. I love how she played up my eyes with the greys in the Smoky Jazz Jazz Club compact ($65). And I was blown away by by how long and full my lashes looked when she layered two shades of the new Diorshow Iconic Mascara ($27). It almost looked like I was wearing false lashes.

I also fell head over heels for the new award-winning Diorskin Nude Fresh Glow Hydrating Makeup SPF 10 ($45) and Diorskin Nude Fresh Glow Powder SPF 10 ($45). They do a wonderful job perfecting the complexion and feel so refreshing and cooling (even the powder). The Radiance Booster Pen ($34) is also a knockout brightener and concealer in one. 用咖啡色在眼头处画出深色眼影，让双眼更具立体感。再用含有珠光的烟灰色眼影微熏上眼睑，而拉长的黑色眼线则是绝对不容忽视的主轴。

SETP1：用烟灰色在靠近睫毛的双眼皮褶内涂抹，再用偏灰的深咖啡色眼影，由深及浅晕染出魅惑烟熏眼装。

SETP2：在眉头与眼头处以咖啡色打造出内凹感，让五官看起来更加立体。

SETP3：浓重的黑色眼线上、下眼睑都需描画，且要强调线条感，营造气势。

SETP4：在下眼睑靠近眼线的部位，用金棕色眼影粉加以晕染。

1.脸颊的腮红颜色不易过浓，以淡淡的橘色为宜。再用深咖啡色作为修饰，勾勒出个性十足的酷感轮廓。

Eyelash extensions are a good option for someone who doesn’t want to be applying mascara daily and likes a full natural lash look without the daily maintenance of curling lashes and applying eye makeup.

I’ll examine this much talked about process of eyelash extensions and also give you the low-down on how to care for your eyelash extensions.

EYELASH EXTENSIONS PROCEDURE
Eyelash extensions are applied individually by hand to each of your own lashes by a licensed cosmetologist, aesthetician, and permanent makeup technician. This procedure is very delicate and takes anywhere from 2 to 3 hours. Your eyes must remain closed, which is not the easiest task for some people. Normally a person's natural eyelashes fall out every 60 - 90 days and new lashes grow in immediately. It is necessary to get touch-ups to fill in the fallen lashes about every 2 to 3 weeks; however, this will vary with each person. Your natural lash cycle as well as how you take care of your lashes will affect how long your lash extensions will last.

A friend had eyelash extensions applied for her wedding and had this to say about the experience:
‘I had the NovaLash extensions applied. The application process took about 2 hours, and I only got upper lashes applied. I didn't experience any irritation (they have glue for contact wearers and non-contact lens wearers) and overall I was very pleased. I didn't maintain the lashes but they lasted about 3 months total, which I was very impressed with. I did lose a few of my own lashes when the false ones would pull out from rubbing my eyes, but when they came off on their own, I did not notice any lash loss.’

EYELASH EXTENSION TIPS
Remember these important rules about your eyelash extensions:

Do not get lashes wet for12- 24 hours

Avoid hot steam or sauna

Avoid running water directly on your lashes

Do not rub your eyes

Only use water based mascara (optional)

If applying mascara do so from middle to tip, avoid root area

Use water based eye makeup remover

Do not use a mechanical eyelash curler

Do not pull on your lashes (this may cause your natural lashes to come out prematurely)

Care must be taken to apply eye cream sparingly while avoiding the lash line area. Water soluble mascara can be worn; however constant use of mascara may shorten the life-span of your lashes. Don’t use waterproof mascara, as it will dissolve the bond with lash extensions. Many lash extension artists use medical grade adhesives, which are said to be totally safe around the eye area. Eyelash extensions are said to be safe for contact lens wearers as well.
The results of lash extensions are nothing less than amazing! If you have the time, money (they can cost $300 or more) and patience, look into getting eyelash extensions for a lovely lash look!
